DISNEY'S TYPHOON LAGOON: It is advisable to arrive early so you can find a spot with some shade, unless you are a sun worshipper who can manage the whole day laying in this man made tropical paradise.
Typhoon Lagoon recreates a tropical island in an aftermath of a storm
Walking up Mount Mayday will provide you with an amazing view of the park, the shrimp boat Miss Tilly sits atop. Out of the funnel at regular intervals water fountains shoot, the funnel also alerts you to the next wave at the Surf Pool.
This vast watery playground is lavishly landscaped, with lush gardens, circling the lagoon. Castaway Creek a slow flowing river that you can float along lazily in rubber rings, the man made reef enables you to swim with exotic fish and sharks through the upturned wreck. |
The slides and rides are all located around Mt Mayday, the rides vary from the child friendly Ketchakiddee Creek a selection of slides and pools for those under 4ft whilst those of you who are more adventurous have the slides of Humunga Kowabunga . This water park has enough to keep your interest for the day, you can bring your own picnic or there are the usual array of burgers, sandwiches, salads and ice cream available. (no alcohol or glass containers are allowed).

Keelhaul Falls
Fly through caves and water falls on this white-water rafting adventure.
May Day Falls

Gang Plank Falls
This ride gives families the chance to ride together on this incredible white-water rafting adventure.
Humunga Kowabunga
Triple speed slides that shoot you through rocky caverns!

Shark Reef
This is a salt water snorkeling experience through a coral reef with colorful tropical fish and real, live sharks.
Surfing
